Feeling stuck? Find hints below for each of the codes. Some will contain multiple hints if you don't want to have everything given away. Note that the hints are vague for a few codes (it still needs to be a challenge!) but you don't need to find every code to complete the game. In fact, you can win with only 14 codes!
Investigate the sticky note on the main console.
Code is on the back of the sticky note.
You won't be able to access this code until the second main button is unlocked. Pay attention to the green die:
Each time you scroll away, the die flips to a different side. Look for the symbol for the pattern to restart and write down each number to get the 5-digit code.
The labels of the test tubes are numbered.
From left to right, the code is written on the labels of the test tubes. You may have to drink some of them to reveal the label. Notice that the label for the third test tube is upside down which means it's a 6 - not a 9.
This is one of the most difficult codes in the game. You can find the answer at the main menu - where you open the game.
What happens if you don't "Volunteer" but ignore the assignment instead? What if you do this more than once?
This code is not required to completed the game so the solution won't be given here. Good luck!
There's a torn up photography on the desk with something written on it.
If you assemble the torn pieces, you can find the full code. Note that the top-left piece is taped down - you can use this as a base to put together the puzzle.
This one is tricky. You can only find it at the main menu or when the game is completed.
Try looking in the menu labeled "Find out more about the Twilight World"
Within the "Find out more about the Twilight World" menu, click on the image of the book cover to reveal the code.
It looks like something may have been carved on the desk.
Have you ever held a light at an angle to see the texture of of a surface? Try it here.
Pick up the flashlight and turn it on. Without turning it off, put it back down. This reveals a code carved into the desk.
When you first start the game, you saw a pocket watch hidden in the book. What were the hands pointing to?
The hands point to a series of letters - have you seen those letters anywhere else? Maybe with a way to convert them into numbers?
Once you've unlocked the second button, you can scroll far to the right where a paper is pinned to the wall. For each of the letters (in order) find the corresponding number. The first letter will take the number from the first column, the second letter from the second column etc.
There are numbers scattered around with circles and marks - these are the components of this code.
You won't find all of the circles until you open to padlocked box.
Look at the number of marks in the circles - this is their order.
Clues are hidden on the crumpled paper on far left, written on the back of the left-hand sound panel, on a sticky note behind the right-most panel on the console and on the folded piece of paper in the lockbox.
Look for roman numbers scattered around the desk.
There's a framed photo on the desk - is there a way to see if anything is written on the back of the photo?
There's a red book with many drawings - check in the pages and also behind the book (keep turning until you can close the back cover).
The final set of 2 numbers for this code can only be seen after you unlock the 4th button and can use the black light. You will need to re-inspect the puzzle to find the last 2 numbers.
The first part of the marks is the order within the code. The second part is the actual number for the code.
For example, II.IIII would mean that the second digit in the code is 4.
There are 5 buttons on this panel - each with a number that will provide you a code. To get them, you must first power the panel and choose a signal. The first button must be unlocked to do so.
After the first button is unlocked, you can press it to flip over this panel and line up the wires to power it.
When the panel is powered, select one of the stations and then use the two sliders at the bottom to lock onto the signal. Once you do this for each station, you will have all five digits for a code.
There are 5 buttons on this panel - each with a number that will provide you a code. To get them, you must first power the panel and choose a signal. The third button must be unlocked to do so.
Just like the left panel, you can press it to flip over this panel and line up the wires to power it. Are the batteries facing the correct way?
When the panel is powered, select one of the stations and then use the two sliders at the bottom to lock onto the signal. Once you do this for each station, you will have all five digits for a code.
When communicating with the red crystal, you can be shown a series of five images. These images correspond to 5 numbers to create a code.
In the red book, there are pieces of artwork that match what you see in the vision.
Each corresponding image in the book has a number written on it. Use those numbers in the order of the vision to get the completed code.
This code can be gained by communicating through the blue crystal - once unlocked.
Through conversation, the individual will provide a full code.
When unlocking the blue crystal, red numbers appear on the LCD screen. After the crystal is unlocked, the numbers no longer change.
Pay attention to the labels on this panel.
The panel is upside down. Just flip your device over to see the full code.
You won't be able to solve this code until you have completed the game and are viewing the final scene. Part of the code is hidden there.
Check the ashtray and matchbox.
The first two parts of this code are in the main game - in the ashtray and matchbox. The final 3 pieces can only be seen after triggering the final sequence. At the end of the game, you are shown a key, a crystal and a piece of paper. The final 3 pieces of this code can be found on the back of the paper.
Check behind each of the books.
If you keep turning pages in the red book, you'll eventually see a code hidden behind it.
This code won't be avaialble until you have access to the blacklight.
With the blacklight on, press the buttons in the order written on top.
The padlock has 4 tumblers with 10 symbols on each. Throughout the game, you will see some of these symbols closely associated with numbers. You will not be able to complete this puzzle until you have access to the black light.
Two of the codes are in the green book.
Two of the codes are in the green book next to page numbers. This shows the order of that symbol in the combination. The final can be seen in the blue/gray book once the black light is on.
